They hang out under the pier near the launching sling. There's always some courting going on with a puffy male sideling up to a non-receptive female. It's funny to watch his feathers flatten down when she flies off. He looks like he's deflating.

Hugs,
CecileEasyDiverChrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13087821595346517698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6237208754252000029.post-30878801318688290582010-03-04T16:40:50.703-08:002010-03-04T16:40:50.703-08:00So, don't hate me...but... I must confess, I didn't know what squab was... I thought it was the same as Cornish Game hen...the butcher in the north end never said a word, and I didn't ask, because I thought I knew. Anyway, it came out awesome, and everyone was loving it until half way through the meal, when I noticed my friend's wife wasn't eating. "Is everything OK with your squab?" I asked..."She smiled and said.."I'm sure it's great, it's just that...I don't eat pigeon." I was floored, and the sudden knowledge of what I was eating made it taste differently. I couldn't eat the rest, and I haven't made it since.

PS...Chocolate cake, and champagne are really good at getting the taste of squab out of your mouth.Fox In Detoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12932934681892188169noreply@blogger.com
